Junior Trap Season:

Jr. Trap Program The Club’s Jr. Trap Program for students (ages 12 and up) finished at the end of June. There were 5 participants in the program this year.


Open Trap Shoots:

Wednesday Night Trap Shooting is in full swing but has been spotty because of the weather. Shooting is from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm every Wednesday until mid-September. Wednesday Night Trap shooting is open to the public. Sunday Afternoon Trap Shooting runs all year from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm every Sunday. This is also open to the public.

The cost for a 25-bird line of trap is now $3.00 for adults, and $2.50 for junior members. Shooters can bring their own shotgun shells (shot no larger than 7 1/2) or they can buy shotgun shells at $8.00 a box at the range. Basic Junior Rifle Program:

The Jr. Rifle Program will start it’s basic four-week introductory Wednesday evening course on October 6 and end on November 3. The cost is $30 for the four weeks with all ammunition, rifles, and loan of eye and ear protection included.

At the conclusion of the introductory course, the participants can continue shooting on Wednesdays until April for an additional $30 fee which includes all ammunition, rifles, and the loan of eye and ear protection. Civilian Marksmanship Program:

The CMP Hi-Power Shoot is held on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 10 am. The CMP program is looking for shooters so if you would like to get involved with this group just attend one of the shoots and give it a try. They shoot M-1 rifles which are provided by the Club.


Monday Night Recreational Pistol League:

The 2009/2010

The Monday Night Recreational Shoot has finished their Monday night Steel Silhouette Shoots for the summer and will resume its recreational shooting on September 13 at 7:30 pm on the indoor 50-ft range. The cost for the 20-week season is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. Persons that can’t commit to the entire 20-week period can pay as they go, $3 per night for members and $4 per night for non-members. You will need your favorite firearm, 50 rounds of ammunition - .22 or center fire with a velocity under 1200 fps, and eye and ear protection. The shoot does have a timed and rapid fire segment so a semi-automatic pistol is recommended; however, those with revolvers and speed loaders will have time to complete the lines. Training

The 2010 schedule of NRA certified classes is presently being drawn up. In the mean time, NRA First Steps courses are available by appointment only. These classes usually run 3 to 4 hours. Email Greg Kesden or Stephen Boehm for information or to schedule
